Information on change to Ordo Calendar
Developed and Presented by       www.CommonPrayer.org       An Independent Traditional 1928 BCP Ministry

Changes (Additions) to the Ordo Calendar display
Some additional information is now included on the Ordo Calendar display. There are a number of options in the Order for Morning and Evening Prayer; the BCP lists "Sentences of Scripture" which can be read at the beginning of MP and EP; there are also Sentences to be said before the "Venite" at MP, and times the "Venite" is omitted or has a substitute; and days which are the "Eve" before a Holy Day which have their own set of readings for EP.

For Holy Communion, there are seasonal Collects (also used at MP/EP) and Prefaces, and days other than Sundays with a proper Collect, Epistle and Gospel.

Notations for these items are now included on the daily Ordo Calendar. The terminology used is as follows:
SS - There is a Proper Sentence of Scripture for the Day or Season.
BV - A Proper Sentence may be said Before the Venite at Morning Prayer.
OV - The Venite is to be Omitted.
SV - A Substitute is to be read in place of the Venite.
Col - There is a Proper Collect for the Day or Season.
Prf - Denotes a Proper Preface for the Day or Season.
Prp - Indicates a day other than a Sunday with Propers for the Day.
Eve - Indicates "Eve of" Readings for the following Holy Day.
If any of these items applies to a particular day, it is shown in small text italics bracketed by asterisks; examples can be seen in this excerpt:

Error Occurred While Processing Request

Could not find the included template ../calend/addenda/20jan01.add.

Note: If you wish to use an absolute template path (for example, template="/mypath/index.cfm") with CFINCLUDE, you must create a mapping for the path using the ColdFusion Administrator. Or, you can use per-application settings to specify mappings specific to this application by specifying a mappings struct to THIS.mappings in Application.cfc.
Using relative paths (for example, template="index.cfm" or template="../index.cfm") does not require the creation of any special mappings. It is therefore recommended that you use relative paths with CFINCLUDE whenever possible.

Resources:
  • Enable Robust Exception Information to provide greater detail about the source of errors. In the Administrator, click Debugging & Logging > Debug Output Settings, and select the Robust Exception Information option.
