O BE joyful in God, all ye lands; * sing praises unto the honour of his Name; make his praise to be glorious.
Say unto God, O how wonderful art thou in thy works! * through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies bow down unto thee.
For all the world shall worship thee, * sing of thee, and praise thy Name.
O come hither, and behold the works of God; * how wonderful he is in his doing toward the children of men.
He turned the sea into dry land, * so that they went through the water on foot; there did we rejoice thereof.
He ruleth with his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: * and such as will not believe shall not be able to exalt themselves.
O praise our God, ye peoples, * and make the voice of his praise to be heard;
Who holdeth our soul in life; * and suffereth not our feet to slip.
For thou, O God, hast proved us; * thou also hast tried us, like as silver is tried.
Thou broughtest us into the snare; * and laidest trouble upon our loins.
Thou sufferedst men to ride over our heads; * we went through fire and water, and thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
I will go into thine house with burnt-offerings, and will pay thee my vows, * which I promised with my lips, and spake with my mouth, when I was in trouble.
I will offer unto thee fat burnt-sacrifices, with the incense of rams; * I will offer bullocks and goats.
O come hither, and hearken, all ye that fear God; * and I will tell you what he hath done for my soul.
I called unto him with my mouth, * and gave him praises with my tongue.
If I incline unto wickedness with mine heart, * the Lord will not hear me.
But God hath heard me; * and considered the voice of my prayer.
Praised be God, who hath not cast out my prayer, * nor turned his mercy from me.

In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

LORD, we beseech thee to keep thy household the Church in continual godliness; that through thy protection it may be free from all adversities, and devoutly given to serve thee in good works, to the glory of thy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
