I WILL give thanks unto thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; * I will speak of all thy marvellous works.
I will be glad and rejoice in thee; * yea, my songs will I make of thy Name, O thou Most Highest.
While mine enemies are driven back, * they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; * thou art set in the throne that judgest right.
Thou hast rebuked the heathen, and destroyed the ungodly; * thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
O thou enemy, thy destructions are come to a perpetual end; * even as the cities which thou hast destroyed, whose memorial is perished with them.
But the LORD shall endure for ever; * he hath also prepared his seat for judgment.
For he shall judge the world in righteousness, * and minister true judgment unto the people.
The LORD also will be a defence for the oppressed, * even a refuge in due time of trouble.
And they that know thy Name will put their trust in thee; * for thou, LORD, hast never failed them that seek thee.
O praise the LORD which dwelleth in Sion; * show the people of his doings.
For when he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them, * and forgetteth not the complaint of the poor.
Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider the trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, * thou that liftest me up from the gates of death;
That I may show all thy praises within the gates of the daughter of Sion: * I will rejoice in thy salvation.
The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made; * in the same net which they hid privily is their foot taken.
The LORD is known to execute judgment; * the ungodly is trapped in the work of his own hands.
The wicked shall be turned to destruction, * and all the people that forget God.
For the poor shall not alway be forgotten; * the patient abiding of the meek shall not perish for ever.
Up, LORD, and let not man have the upper hand; * let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
Put them in fear, O LORD, * that the heathen may know themselves to be but men.

Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers. Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots: Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty. The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall, And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures. And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols he shall utterly abolish. And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth. And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

ALMIGHTY God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life, in which thy Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge both the quick and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal, through him who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, now and ever. Amen.
